JESSICA'S THEME c1971
I booked Jessica's Theme for the Coventry Arts Umbrella Friday Jan 8th 1971 & Friday 19th Feb
Jan Gage and Jan Coombs did zeroxed some flyers and dished them out and we advertised the band in Cov Evening Telegraph.
Jessica's Theme were - Gordon Tunnicliffe on vocals, John ? on lead guitar, Mick (Evans?) on bass guitar, Paul Bodanowych on rhythm and Bernie ? on drums, managed by Mick Cubbon from Binley Woods (Mick moved to the US and is married to a singer called Gina Noelle (Google it for more info). He’s a very good producer and has a home PC-based studio.). They made a self-funded vinyl LP but I don’t have a copy – they were a very talented lot. I saw them often – notably at The Navigation on Stoney Stanton Rd. Numbers such as ‘Tally Man’ – Jeff Beck and ‘Gin House’ – Amen corner spring to mind.
Thanks to Cliff Wagstaff (of Cov bands Tobacco Ash Sunday, Tropical Boot Company and Quantum (not Quantum Leap!) for the additional information here and the business card.
Cliff told me that Jessica's Theme were origianlly called The Motorised Grapes and here is their business card to
prove it!

GOTHIC HORIZON C1971 / 72
A folk based band operating in the early 70's from Warwick (I think). I saw them play the Cov Arts Umbrella and the Earlsdon Cottage. They had an album on sale at the gigs which I think must have been Jason Lodge Poetry Book. The band made two albums according to this site and one single. (You can buy the albums and single from that site too.)

No idea of when they operated - possibly early 70's.
circa 1969
Pop group
Line up: Steve Jones (Rex Brough has it as Steve James - not sure which is right) (guitar, vocals), Tony Newman
(vocals), Stuart Coleman (bass), Paul Wilkinson (drums).
Newman and Coleman previously in Pinkerton's Assorted Colours, Wilkinson previously in The Peeps and Jones was in The Sabres (with Wilkinson)
Rex Brough has it that - In 1971 they played a final gig in the 40 thieves nightclub, the first lineup called it a day. Phil Clough and Mike Summerson replaced Coleman and James. and that - Stuart Coleman became a BBC London radio DJ in the late '70s, running first the rock'n'roll show "Echoes", later appearing on Capitol Gold. He produced hits Shakin' Stevens, Kim Wilde, and Cliff Richard and
lives and works in Nashville. A line up of Flying Machine exists to day, but changed the name back to Pinkerton's Colours.
